Vintage Vogue was at the top of my wish list when I saw the occasions mini catalogue. Earlier this week, I had the time to create 21 card fronts for a swap, and while I was at it I made 7 more cards to have on hand. It felt so good to be back stamping and accomplish so much in one (long) night!
This was the first time that I had used the clear mount stamps, and I’m in love. Here’s why:
- With the clear blocks I was able to better “see” where I was stamping. I’ll be using my stamp-a-ma-jig less often I think.
- Storage. The clear mount stamps sets come in a DVD sized tin which is a lot smaller than the wood mount cases, and there are lots of options for DVD storage in almost every store.
- No more ink marks on the blocks. I often end up with staining on my wood blocks from finger prints, or “enthusiastic” inking. When I do get ink on the clear blocks, it cleans off quickly with the stampin spray
- Price point. Once you have the clear blocks, the clear mount stamps can be purchased at a lower price point than the wood mount stamps.
And that’s all I can think of for now. I’ll let you know if I think of any other (dis)advantages of the clear mount stamps as I continue to play
If you’re still reading, congratulations! Here are the cards.
