Colour is not necessarily my forte. When I go shopping for fabric for a quilt or pull together colours for a card or scrapbook layout, I often bring my mother-in-law (graphic designer) to the fabric store, or present my hubby (art degree) with a handful of different colours of cardstock to figure out which one is “just right”.
That being said, I was very excited when Stampin’ Up! released the new colour coach (item 121620). It’s fantastic, if you don’t have one go get it now!
I participated in Judith’s in-colour swap and Poppy Parade was one of my colours. I love this vibrant colour, but wasn’t sure what to pair with it, so instead of running upstairs with all the colours of the Stampin’ Up! rainbow, I used my colour coach. I’m so pleased with the results! Here is another card using the Just Believe stamp set in Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Baja Breeze. (I wasn’t joking when I warned you that you’d be seeing lots of Just Believe samples. You can see past samples here and here.)
I’m also entering this card in the SoShelli.com Creative Challenge. (Shelli Gardner, the co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up! runs a creative challenge every month or so. If you want to enter her challenges, send me a photo of your entry, with a brief description, and I’ll post it here for you to enter the contest, and hopefully you’ll win free stamp sets!)
Here’s what you’ll need to make this card (you can order these supplies at tanyastamps.com/order and it’ll be shipped directly to you)
